Membership Events and Benefits
Membership: RESA is open to all military branches. RESA members and associate members consist of:
-Single military personnel
-Enlisted spouses
-Married military to military personnel
-Civilian personnel (GS-7 and below)
-Local enlisted retirees
-Adult dependents living with active/retired enlisted military members
RESA membership dues are $3.00 a month for E-5 and below and $5.00 for E-6 and above. Members may pay for 6 to 12 months in advance at a reduced price. Membership dues are free for the first and last month of membership (PCS month). Socials: Our meeting and social is held the first Thursday of each month at the Ramstein Enlisted Club inside Martini’s Lounge. Sign in begins at 5:30 with the social starting at 6:00. Child care is provided on site but an RSVP for this is required. Each social has a different theme from luau to international pot luck to wine tasting! Regardless of the theme, we guarantee a fun evening for everyone. Contact our Social Chair at resa.social@live.com for more information.
Grapevine Newsletter: From 'Wilkommen" to "Tscheuss", social events, new births and members’ birthdays, to travel bulletins and activities information, the monthly Grapevine keeps us informed on the latest club news. Our monthly newsletter is sent electronically to each member every month and also available to view on the "Monthly Newsletter" tab on the link bar. A hard copy is also posted on the Thrift Shop bulletin board and the cork board in the womens restroom inside the Enlisted Club. Childcare: Childcare reimbursement is available to members while attending a RESA function, volunteering at the Ramstein Thrift Stop, or working at a designated club fundraiser. We also have childcare available at no charge during our monthly RESA social. (You must RSVP in advance.) Please contact our Social Chair at resa.social@live.com for more details.
Installation Dinner: Every year we elect a new Executive Board who in turn, appoints the General Board. In honor to celebrate the achievements of the current board and install the newly elected, RESA holds its annual Holiday Party and Installation dinner. At this time the new board members are formally inducted. RESA Family Picnic: Every August, RESA hosts a family picnic and membership drive at Donnelly Park on Ramstein. We also remember the families with those who have deployed family members and invite them to attend. This is a fun filled day with food, door prizes, games, contests and a bouncy castle. There really is something for everyone! So join us for this day of food, fun and friendship! Contact resa.picnic@live.com for more details! Volunteer Appreciation: Each RESA members' volunteerism is appreciated. Every member is asked to turn in their hours monthly for recognition. Annually, RESA hosts a volunteer appreciation dinner to celebrate our committment within the community. For those who volunteer over 70 hours, they qualify for a RESA sponsored volunteer appreciation trip. Last year, 8 RESA members were eligible for a trip to Stockholm! But more importantly, we appreciate and recognize all volunteers, regardless if they are a RESA member or not. Please turn in your volunteer hours NLT the first Monday of each month to our Vice President at resa.vp@hotmail.com for more information. Annual Holiday Party: During the holiday season, the Vice President and Christmas committee organizes a holiday party for our members. During this time we also install our new board members for the upcoming year. This annual event is our way to celebrate our successful year with fellow RESA members, spouses and guests. Last year our event was held at the Firehouse, catered by the Schnapps House with an "Old Hollywood, A Black and White Affair". In years past we've held our dinner at the Sickengerhof with a "1980's Prom" theme, a "Who Killed Santa?" Murder Mystery at the See Hotel and "Casino Night" at Potzberg Castle. Chicks with Peeps: RESA sponsors Chicks with Peeps, an active play and chat time for Mom's with children under 5 years old.
